Desegregating Jammu and Kashmir for Integrating India
Monday, August 05, 2019 will always be remembered as the historic landmark in the Political History of India. On this date Article 370 and 35 A was removed from Jammu & Kashmir, one of the democratic states of India.
For approximately about 70 years Article 370 gave nothing but stones in the hands of the youth of Jammu & Kashmir. I pray that with the end of Article 370 we will stop seeing stones, and start seeing books in the hands of 'Invaluable Indian Future i.e. the valley youth'. Finally with the abolishment of the Article 370 and 35--A, this 'haunted earthly paradise' will come out of Stone Age and march on Information-superhighways to script nascent success stories of spearheading competitiveness in the era Liberalisation, Privatisation and Globalisation (LPG).
On one hand, Kashmir has nothing to lose except stones, horror and terror; and on the other Kashmir, the Paradise Regained may restore its lost glory by retaining Sufiyana Music of Peace, Saffron (Kesar), Apple and world-class tourism.
Renowned African-American playwright Amiri Baraka believed that:
"Success means Growth,
Growth means Change,
People fear Change,
As it undermines their stability."
Finally, I hope that this novel socio-political change will prove productive and fruitful and yield beneficial results to all by opening new vistas and novel avenues of bright future.
