Dr Sudhir Narayan Singh

Born on May 01, 1975 in a small hamlet (Shivpur) of District Mirzapur, Uttar  Pradesh, India, situated at the bank of holy river Ganges, Dr Sudhir Narayan  Singh received his graduation, postgraduation and Doctor of Philosophy degrees  in English Literature from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. As a teacher he  dedicatedly contributed his services at various colleges and Institutes of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab.

 Presently he is working as an Associate Professor & Head, Humanities and Management Science Department at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur, UP, India. He has attended 30 National and International seminars and conferences. He presented thirty two papers in them. He chaired technical sessions in International Conference on Role and Responsibilities of Humanities and Social Sciences in Technical Education at SRM University, NCR Campus, Modinar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and in 56th All India English Teachers' Conference at Bareilly College, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. He supervised three M. Phil. students and guided one Ph. D. Student. Four students are working on their Doctoral thesis under his supervision. He is creatively involved in composing poems and contributing to English and Hindi languages. Since the author was born and brought up at the bank of river Ganges, water bodies and Nature have a lasting impact on his psyche and they also play major  roles in his life and works. Hills, rivers, waves and water appear as living personas in his poems and very often it seems that the poet is receiving inspiration or having a talk with them. Some of his poems appeared in reputed journals (both, 'on line' and 'print') like Poets International, (www.poetsinternational.com), Rock Pebbles (www.rockpebbles.com); and also in anthologies Poets' Paradise, The Fancy Realm and The Melodies of Immortality. He has presented a number of papers in national and international seminars and conferences and almost a dozen of them are published. The book chapters authoured by him are widely published by Indian publishers like Authors Press, Global Vision Publishing House, Alfa Publications, Atlantic Publications and foreign publishers like Lambert Academic Publishing, Berlin, Germany.
